Chad Hill

Floor Supervisor-Custom

Chad was first introduced to fine woodworking while taking an electives course on Furniture Construction and Design during his senior year of college. Immediately falling in love with the art of building things that are both beautiful and practical, he then decided to pursue this new found interest as a career path.

Upon graduation from Christopher Newport University in 2006, Chad entered and excelled through a woodworking apprenticeship at one of the leading Architectural Millwork firms in the Northern Virginia/DC area. Here he learned not only to design and build furniture, but also entire spaces and interiors for all different types of residential and commercial buildings such as museums, universities, hospitals, Government offices and other entities all over the country.

Chad’s designs and work, both independently and for the companies he’s worked for, have won national awards and honors as well as been published in various Trade Journals and Magazines. He joined GAM’s team in 2012 as a Lead Mechanic in the Custom Department and now operates as one of the Custom Floor Supervisors.

When he is not at Gaithersburg, Chad enjoys woodworking on the side and spending time with family and friends.
